3 Tips for Praying Over your Daughter
1. Pray from Your Heart
God knows the intentions of our hearts. We can say a scripted prayer or even all the things we are “supposed to,” but He knows the purpose of these prayers. I encourage you to let down your walls of perfection and ask Him for the true desires and worries of your heart.
Simply take a moment and think about what you want for your daughter. Do you want her to stay confident and strong when things get tough? Do you want her to find a husband who will lead her spiritually?
It doesn’t matter what stage of motherhood you are in, there are so many ways we can be covering this sweet child in prayer. Just follow what is on your heart.
2. Pray for What You Can’t Control
There have been so many days where I don’t know what to pray for. Right now, during pregnancy, there is so much unknown. It can be scary at times not knowing what could happen. When I hit these roadblocks and wonder how I can be encouraging her, I remind myself of all the things I can not control.
Whether that’s how she’s developing right now or the man she will marry one day in the future, I think about these situations that I cannot control, and simply begin to pray.
3. Pray for Your Faith
I will be the greatest example of faith to my daughter. A woman at our church gave me this advice. Now that I’m pregnant, I believe she is 100% right. The words I say, the actions I make, and the thoughts I have are all a reflection of my relationship with Christ.
Every single day, I’m praying that God would strengthen my walk, that I would become the best example of a Christian woman for her, and that I would act in a way that encourages her faith. By simply praying for my faith and my example, I am actually using my prayer as a way to help my daughter grow in her faith through me.

10 Prayers for Your Daughter
Y’all know I’m a big believer in prayer. I think it’s so important to pray over this little girl daily, that the Lord would love and guide her through every stage of her life.
Keeping the tips for praying over your daughter in mind, here are 10 ways to use these Bible Verses to pray over her.
Pray that….
1. She will know her worth.
Many of these verses discuss how precious a daughter is. As a mama, it’s easy to see her worth. But, in today’s society, it is so important that she sees and knows, for herself, how precious she is to God and to her family.
2. The Lord will give her strength and dignity.
There are so many things in this life that will challenge her, both physically and emotionally. As a mom, I want her to know that she is capable of all things through Christ.
3. She may find laughter and joy throughout her life.
Life is full of ups and downs, and it’s important for little girls to see the good, find the humor, and love where she is at in life.
4. She knows how much the Lord loves her.
There are countless verses that describe God’s love for his children, and I pray that my daughter feels His love.
5. She knows how truly beautiful she is.
Society puts so much pressure on girls these days to look, dress, and act in certain ways. I pray that my little girl knows that her beauty is pure and perfect. I pray that she knows she was made in God’s image, and that she doesn’t have to fit in to all of these unrealistic expectations.
6. She finds comfort in knowing that the Lord will always be with her.
No matter what decisions she makes in life, I want my daughter to know that God will never leave her side. He will always be there for her in good times and bad.
7. She knows her beauty comes from the inside.
Like many parts in Proverbs 31, I want my daughter to understand that beauty is more than skin deep. Beauty is kindness. Beauty is loving others. Beauty is so much more than looks alone, and I want her to truly feel beautiful in all ways.
8. The Lord made her perfectly for everything she will face in life.
Many people say that God wouldn’t give you anything that you couldn’t handle, and I want my daughter to know this. I pray that she is perfectly prepared for all that this life will bring her way.
9. She will find peace in the Lord and allow his spirit to fill her soul.
It’s hard for me to imagine my little girl having to go through trials in life, but I know it is bound to happen. There is no better feeling than having peace and confidence that the Father will take care of you and provide, and I pray that she feels this everyday.
10. She will know that God only wants to love her and share His goodness with her.
Our God is a God of love, and I want her to feel peace in knowing that is all he wants.
