Wisdom Teeth Removal While Trying to Conceive – Should I get them removed before pregnancy?

Should I get my wisdom teeth removed before trying to conceive ttc trying to get pregnant tips

After getting my wisdom teeth out, I was so relieved that I did this before getting pregnant! I think I had one of the worst surgeries.. I was swollen for days and felt pain for a while.

Thinking back, I couldn’t imagine doing this with a little baby running around!

I truly believe that there are SO many benefits to getting this done before you have kids. It’s just one last thing to worry about.

I had a friend who got pregnant with her second and needed to have her wisdom teeth removed because they were starting to come in. Sometimes pregnancy hormones can make them start to erupt! She couldn’t be put under and kept saying how much she regretted not getting it done before they started trying to have another baby.

Here are my TOP 4 Reasons to get your wisdom teeth removed BEFORE trying to get pregnant:

  1. You don’t have to worry about taking care of a baby.
  2. You don’t have to worry about needing them out while pregnant.
  3. You only need to deal with a short recovery time instead of constant head-throbbing pain.
  4. Even if you don’t need them removed during pregnancy, your gums could become swollen and irritated… thanks to pregnancy hormones.

Even though my wisdom teeth experience was rough, I would definitely recommend getting them out before TTC. It was worth it!
