The Essential Oils I Used the Month I got Pregnant
When I was TTC, I stumbled on the benefits of using essential oils to boost fertility. I was surprised to find that so many woman had become pregnant after using them. Now, I can’t say that I finally became pregnant because of essential oils, but I feel like they helped.
When I discovered using essential oils while TTC, I was willing to try anything and felt like adding essential oils to my daily life was easy, so I did it.
Lavender: I used this every night before bed. I put a little on my wrists on and on my neck.
Eucalyptus: I like to diffuse it and put a bit on my neck while doing yoga!

Although essential oils have many benefits, there are some that are more suited for helping you get pregnant and some that should not be used at all . Similarly, when you are pregnant there are certain essential oils that are risky. Which means that when you are trying to conceive, they cannot be used after ovulation.
Given these points, it’s important to do your research and understand when and how to use essential oil for fertility.

After choosing one of the essential oils that aid fertility, then you will need to learn how to use them correctly. This will help you to maximize their beneficial properties.
To begin with, essential oils are amazing for the promotion of your overall well-being. This means that they will help balance you physically, mentally, and emotionally. For this reason, essential oils are an amazing fertility booster because they help support a healthy body and mind.
Here are some ways that essential oils help to promote general health and well-being are:

After you’ve chosen the essential oil that you’d like to use, then you will want to decide how to use them. Each of these ways will help to increase your chances of conception.
Essentials oils can be used in the following ways to increase fertility:
1. Inhale the oils.
- Place a few drops of the oil into a diffuser.
- Put a few drops of your oil on a handkerchief to smell through the day.
- Place a few drops on your wrist or behind your ears to smell through the day.
- Put a few drops into your body products.
- Add a few drops of the oils into a bowl of steaming hot water and inhale.
2. Bathe with the oils.
Put a few drops of your chosen oil or oils into your bath water. Meanwhile, make sure to soak in the water for 15 to 20 minutes in order to get the benefits of the oils.
- Apply the oils to fertility points on the body according to the practice of reflexology.
- Kidney and spleen pressure points to help the endocrine and reproductive systems of the body.
- Adrenal and pituitary axis points in order to reduce adrenaline and cortisol levels to reduce stress.
- Solar plexus and diaphragm points to reduce stress.
3. Massage the oils into the body.
- Abdominal massage focuses on firmly rubbing the abdomen to release tension that gathers there.
- Swedish massage has a lighter touch and is a massage that focuses more on releasing tension and stress with a soft and rhythmic technique.
- Shiatsu massage is a pressure-point massage that focuses on applying pressure to the points of the body that correspond with the reproductive organs and relaxation.
Essential Oil Recipes for Fertility

Because some essential oils are too potent to place directly onto your skin, they may need to be diluted with a carrier oil. Some popular carrier oils are fractionated coconut oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, sweet almond oil, hazelnut oil, jojoba oil, and apricot oil. However, the carrier oil you use is entirely up to your preference. They are simply used to dilute the essential oil and allow it to be used on your skin.
Of course, you can make your own essential oil blends for fertility. All you will need is an empty roll-on bottle, the oils of your choosing, and a carrier oil.
To balance your hormones, you can try:
- 1 tbsp fractionated coconut oil
- 2 drops frankincense
- 1 drop clary sage
- 2 drops lavender
- 1 drop peppermint
To regulate your menstrual cycle, you can try:
- 1 tbsp carrier oil
- 2 drops lavender
- 1 drop rose
- 1 drop ylang ylang
- 2 drops geranium
- 1 drop clary sage
To help fight infertility caused by PCOS, you can try:
- 1 tbsp fractionated coconut oil
- 2 drops clary sage
- 1 drop thyme
- 1 drop cinnamon
- 2 drops geranium
- 1 drop sandalwood
To help increase male fertility, you can try:
- 1 tbsp carrier oil
- 2 drops clary sage
- 1 drop ylang ylang
