No matter what you are worried about, praying over Bible Verses for anxiety can help quiet your fears. It’s important to root yourself in His word and trust that God will deliver you. When you believe that the Lord will bring you peace, you will begin to see your worries disappear.
Ever since I was a little girl, I can remember feeling fearful. After I accepted the Lord as my savior, I felt so much guilt for still struggling with anxiety. I heard miraculous stories of how God healed people from their constant worry, and truth be told, I thought I was doing something wrong.
How God Healed My Anxiety
After my second daughter was diagnosed with CHD (you can read her story here), I hit rock bottom. I honestly questioned God’s plan and wondered why He chose ME. Hellooo… I’m the one who struggles with anxiety…. I thought I couldn’t handle a medically complex child.
But to my surprise, this was the turning point in my battle with anxiety. There was so much healing that happened as I worked through the trauma of her diagnosis.
Today, I have the tools I need to help me work through my fears and worries. The most helpful thing has been scripture.
At the end of this post, I’m going to share some of the ways I use the verses to help me find peace. I hope that these Bible Verses for anxiety will help you to find true joy and trust in the Lord.
Best Bible Verses for Anxiety, Worry, and Fear
Before I get into some of the best verses about anxiety, I wanted to let you know that you are not alone. Anxiety is the most common mental illness in the U.S.
When you are dealing with fear, you can feel like you are the only person on this earth struggling with it. I believe that this is the devil doing his work.
There is so much power in realizing that you are not alone. One study conducted by Kintsugi Hope, estimates that 43% of Christians (of various denominations) struggle with their mental health. I hope that these statistics bring you comfort.
Anyhow, let’s get into some of the best Bible Verses for anxiety, worry, and fear, so you can find the comfort and peace you need to lay down your burdens at the feet of Jesus.

3. Study Them
I love doing a deep dive on verses. Typically I read the entire chapter, to ensure I understand the context of the verse. Sometimes this gives me more insight on what the author was trying to say.
I also love looking at what scholars have to say about each verse. I use StudyLight.org and find that everybody’s opinions on the text help me to decipher how it can apply to my situation.
